Integrated Energy Harvesting Module

SMK has developed the industry’s first energy harvesting module to replace the CR2032 coin cell battery.

This product combines solar energy harvesting technology with low-power communication via Bluetooth® Low Energy 5.3 to eliminate the need for battery replacement in remote controllers and sensors.

The compact design fits into existing coin cell battery cases, eliminating the need for battery replacement and to add communication functions as the battery, PV cell, communication circuit, and various sensors are integrated and fit into the size of a coin cell battery.

Additionally, the module supports wireless power transmission (WPT) through an external antenna, thereby allowing the use in places where solar power generation is a challenge.
